I’ve been a licensed Realtor since 1995 and worked for three different Real Estate Companies during that time. In the fall of 2003, Mark Wheeler and I opened our own Brokerage, Roots Realty. My focus through all the years has been in Portland’s close in neighborhoods, with an emphasis on older homes. What has always been most important to me is assisting folks in achieving their goals. I’ve helped 1st time buyers and sellers, growing families, artists expanding their creative spaces, investors looking for business potential and retirees downsizing their space.
Portland’s sustainability is very important to me. My work is a reflection of my continued efforts as an Activist. One of the best aspects of being a Realtor is networking with my clients, sharing ideas and skills; bringing people together. Growing up in California in a city with open-minded family and friends enabled me to recognize the beauty of diversity at a young age and I work hard daily to bring about positive change in our community. I am a firm believer in counseling and education for my clients. The more my clients understand the process and the decisions they get to make, the smoother the whole transaction will be. The energy I give to the transaction has given me the gift of a referral business, for which I am grateful.
In addition to helping buyer and sellers acheive their goals, my work includes managing Roots Realty, which is tremendously satisfying. I enjoy training and assisting each of the Realtors who work for Roots to learn all they can so their businesses can continue to grow strong. It is rewarding meeting the many clients who have been well-served by Roots. I also am actively involved in our Realtor organizations, primarily the Portland Metropolitan Association of Realtors. I sit on the Governmental Affairs Committee and am currently one of the PAC Trustees. It is a unique way to be involved, meeting candidates seeking local political office and helping our industry through vital changes.
My time away from real estate is spent gardening, exploring nature in my canoe, reading, mushroom collecting, playing with our 3 cats, concocting potions in the kitchen and my new found passion: white water rafting! I love being a daughter, a sister, an Aunt, a friend.
