One thing I love about real estate is that I get to hear people’s dreams and visions of how and where they live, and how they would like to live. I am deeply interested in how we live as individuals, families, communities, and as inhabitants of this planet—shelter and community, and all its graceful flourishes and variations. Oddly enough, real estate provides the opportunity to combine these interests with my life-long love for architecture, art, and design.

As the foundation for my work, my goal is to provide seamless, reliable real estate service through all phases of transactions. Beyond that, I offer consulting to bring out the green potential that lies in Portland’s homes, properties, and neighborhoods. More specifically, my passion lies in eco-effective design, elegant craftsmanship, and community development. This is possible in Portland. Whether it leads to a private, public, or non-profit source, it is a great feeling to track down a local option for services and goods that keep our community thriving. I love finding people with diverse talents and bringing them together to help sustain us from within.

I finally found Roots Realty in 2004. Roots surfaced as the dream situation—intelligent, fun, creative people who do good work with integrity and a vision for sustainability. After years of being involved in various sustainability efforts from watershed restoration and alternative building projects to organic farming and education, I noticed many paths converging. Elements of my life kept pointing to people in their homes, in their gardens, and in their communities. My life is centered around my family, my home, and my community; my clients are part of this. Real estate expands this web, so that we can rely on one another and sustain a thriving, local economy, environment, and culture. I get excited about the connections within our community and the relationships formed in doing good work together. Ultimately, sustainability is a local effort.

What greatness is possible within this watershed!
